Mode-locked lasers are important tools in research and industry. Currently these lasers are so expensive that not many researchers and teachers could afford them. Kphotonics is using an innovative technology  developed at the College of Optical Sciences (University of Arizona) and Cornell University to deliver robust, compact and low cost ultrafast sources that are affordable.

Kphotonics’ fiber-format saturable absorbers enable construction of compact 10-100 MHz oscillators delivering sub-picosecond pulses.
